SUPPLY CHAIN
Supply Chain: The winning key to increase the level of service and optimise costs
The Supply Chain department was created in Orva due to the increasingly relevant need to meet customer requirements in terms of ordered quantity and delivery times.
The 25 people in this department have the common goal:

To reduce costs in the procurement of production material based on sales forecasts (supported by the Demand Planner), to calculate/analyse the correct quantities of material needed so as not to impact the customer/warehouse. (Purchasing Department).
- To organise production as best as possible based on sales orders while striving to get maximum performance from production lines. To analyse each Item and its “history” so that you can predict its trends and manage its stock level.
- To organise people shifts so as to meet even the most sudden requests, thus giving maximum flexibility to the company. (Industrial Planning Department).
- To manage the loading plans, the organisation of finished products and the domestic and foreign distribution in order to guarantee an excellent level of service and have the goods delivered exactly on the day and in the place desired by the customer. (Logistics Department).

Orva’s Supply Chain is based on the experience of the people who are part of it and on the tools properly used to be a company projected into the future (ERP, MES, MRP and WMS).

Approximately 280 people are involved in the production cycle every day and ensure that an average of 4 packs are produced every second.
Orva’s strengths also include the flexibility of its 13 packaging lines, which allow it to handle small and large sales orders in the best possible way and within the time frame required by customers.
In recent years, Luigi Bravi’s entrepreneurial vision has been directed towards the future, putting the company in a position to still have an availability of over 4,000 square metres for additional production lines.
